Dive in, have fun & help me keep the Cowichan River clean!

This is a family friendly event, for all ages and abilities. Children under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.

There are plenty of opportunities for people to get into the water and for those who don't wish to get wet, they can walk the banks and pick up garbage which would otherwise wash into the River when the rains come.

Please bring appropriate gear for working in and around the river (gloves, shoes that tolerate water & swimwear).

If you plan to work in the River please bring your own flotation devices, snorkel and mask etc. along with something warm and dry to wear afterwards.

Everyone, please remember your environmentally friendly sun screen

and hat!

Bring us your bottles and cans !!

8:30 - 11:30

That's right!  A chance to create a little order in your life and support a good cause.  Proceeds from your recyclable drink containers will go toward supporting the River Cleanup and a portion will go towards the Gerald Thom Environmental Studies Bursary.

If you take your bottles & cans to the recycling depot before the event and then donate the cash you receive to us on the day of the River Clean Up, it would make it soooo much easier on our volunteers!
